Job description

We are seeking an Inside/OSP Manager to join our team supporting DISA JSP ETM in Arlington, VA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must have current or the ability to obtain the OSP Confined Space Training certificate

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field

Certifications

  • RCDD Certification

Clearance

  • Must possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of inside plant infrastructure, including cabling, racks, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for inside plant design and layout.
  • Coordinate with facility management teams to address physical infrastructure requirements and space allocation.
  • Manage the planning, deployment, and maintenance of outside plant infrastructure, such as fiber optic cables, conduits, and enclosures.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine OSP requirements and feasibility for network expansion or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with construction teams and contractors to execute OSP projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and implement standard engineering decommissioning policies and processes in accordance with existing standards.
  • Ensure orderly termination/disposal of network devices, circuits, and components.
  • Update equipment status in Information Resource Management (IRM) and CMDB and provide decommissioning reports.
  • Establish transition plans to ensure smooth transition of networks, applications, systems, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with JSP Engineers to conduct acceptance tests for transitioning systems.
  • Connect transitioning systems to the production network as per the transition plan and coordinate authorized outages.
  • Develop Acceptance Test Plans (ATP) ensuring transitioning systems meet all specifications and identify potential issues.
  • Conduct end-to-end configuration reviews of network devices and architecture, providing recommendations for improvement.
