Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations for our passenger transportation services. We operate ambulances, paratransit vans, minivans, sedans, and extended vans across the State of PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-focused transportation solutions. This role involves managing staff, optimizing route planning, maintaining compliance with transportation regulations, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, dispatch, fleet management, and customer service.
  2. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service efficiency and safety.
  3. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational effectiveness.
  4. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  5. Lead and manage transportation staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and support personnel.
  6. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
  7. Develop and manage budgets, cost control strategies, and resource allocation.
  8. Manage profit and loss (P amp;L) responsibilities, including revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
  9. Implement and oversee training programs to improve service quality and regulatory compliance.
  10. Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues effectively.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall company performance.
Qualifications amp; Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with scheduling, dispatching software, and fleet management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
