This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in NYC. Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule is three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking outgoing individuals with replenishment, allocations, merchandising, and/or retail fashion store management experience with a passion for impressing the customer to join our Allocations team. Working at our corporate office in this computer based role, the Merchandise Analyst is responsible for developing and executing assortment plans and managing inventory at multiple store locations to maximize sales, and profit. Our fast paced sneaker culture gives a high performing and collaborative person a place to grow beyond this role. Potential advancement includes other areas such as Senior Merchandiser, Buying, Planning, and other roles supporting our Men's, Women's, and Kid's business. We work with top brands such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Under Armour, Puma, and many more to ensure our stores always have the latest trends. (The internal title for this role is Merchandiser.)

Responsibilities
Trend Identification & Allocation
  • Develop assortment plans in line with strategic goals to allocate needs based on demand
  • Identify geographic and market trends using statistical analysis, media publications, market visits, competitors and product review with field team
  • Compile and analyze product performance data identifying missed opportunities

In-Season Management
  • Review weekly performance by style, category, etc. with Buyer, Allocation Manager and Financial Planner against plan and forecast
  • Create and maintain size profiles by store
  • Optimize inventory levels by monitoring sales and sizing trends

Qualifications
  • Degrees in Apparel, Merchandising, Design, Fashion Retail Management, Finance/Economics preferred; applicable work experience or other business degrees considered
  • Strong computer skills in order to analyze data
  • Intermediate Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and charts & graphs
  • Experience in replenishment, allocations, merchandising, and/or retail fashion store management
  • Experience within the retail fashion industry or knowledge of the sports environment preferred
  • An advanced understanding of retail math
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills
  • Understands and is passionate about sneaker culture

The annual salary range for this role is $67500-70000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
