Are you an experienced Allison Transmission Diesel Technician?
We are looking for a diesel technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable, Diesel Technician to apply his or her skills in a company that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. What are the Duties?
Diesel technician repairs all makes and maintains customer vehicles and other equipment by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs.
  • Troubleshooting and inspections
  • Inspect engine & transmission , diagnose cause of non-conformance
  • Paperwork and R/O documentation
  • Basic computer skills & good verbal communication
  • Assist other technicians when needed
  • Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Certificate from college or technical school Preferred
  • Prefer 3+ years experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience with Allison Transmissions required.

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
  • The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.?

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
  • No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • CDL is a plus
  • Certifications preferred
  • Experience with Allison Transmissions required.
