Job Description

As a Security Officer Screener in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and telecom location, where you will help support access screening activities, monitor assigned areas, and assist with routine patrols while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering designated areas using approved screening equipment, credential checks, and visitor management procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor entry points and lobby or screening areas to help support authorized access, direct foot traffic, and communicate policies in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, access issues, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
