Job description

We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Associate to join our travel sales team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for sales, and a strong desire to assist our customers with their travel insurance so they can look forward to a worry-free traveling experience. You will receive inbound telephone inquiries from customers with the intent of promoting or selling company products and services.

What you will do:
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy.
  • Identify customer needs and provide optimal or alternative product solutions to meet those needs.
  • Educate potential clients on their insurance options, provide quotes, and close sales.
  • Responsible for in-depth knowledge of products and services offered, learning about products and staying up to date on new product or policy changes.
  • Accurately enter pertinent customer data and research customer information.
  • Able to close a sale by addressing customer concerns, demonstrating empathy, and consistently moving the customer towards commitment.
  • Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.
  • We are currently hiring for our afternoon and evening shifts. Start times would range between 12pm to 3:30pm Eastern time.

What you will bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent diploma.
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months in a customer service environment with previous success in a sales-based environment preferred but not required.
  • Possess superb customer service skills, a strong customer focus, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • While this role is fully remote, candidates must reside in either Virginia or Florida. You may be asked to come to the office on occasion for special events.
  • Eligibility to obtain a license for selling travel insurance across all 50 states. A limited lines license will be acquired post-hire, requiring background checks but no testing.

  • Base Pay: $16-$19 per hour (based on the number of years of sales experience)
  • Incentives: Uncapped incentive structure
  • Total Earnings Potential: Most Inside Sales Associates earn an average of $50,000-$60,000/year
  • Actual base pay may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. Employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses, merit increases, and other incentives based on individual and company performance. The availability and amount of these additional compensation elements are determined by company policy and may vary.
