Overview

The HR Business Partner / Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment efforts for the Cavalier Resorts, including recruitment marketing, building a talent pipeline and fostering retention of associates. This position focuses primarily on the extensive Food & Beverage recruitment efforts for the Cavalier Resort Hotels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of effective recruiting plans to hire full-time quality associates sufficient for the assigned segment.

  • Work with hiring managers to understanding hiring needs and proactively manage requisitions.

  • Establish and execute a recruiting calendar based on business plans and include activity goals for each month, including outbound networking, building talent pools, etc.

  • Manage requisitions in the applicant tracking system ensuring all jobs are property presented in all marketing channels and remain at the top of search criteria.

  • Understand the compensation and benefit plans for each position and monitor each associate's projected compensation.

  • Manage the end-to-end employment process for all (F&B) Associates.
    • Work with hiring manager and GM's to establish candidate profiles for each role.

    • Screen all qualified candidates against the job profile using (1) behavior-based interviewing tools, (2) video assessments, (3) references, (4) cognitive evaluations and job previews as applicable.

    • Prepare offers and communicate expectations to the candidate.

    • Ensure that the new hire has a formal orientation, schedule, and tools needed for success over their first several weeks of employment.

    • Ensure that all new associates completes required training for their role.

    • Establish check-ins with each new hire at key benchmarks including 20-, 30- and 60- days post-hire.

    • Complete exit interviews on all Food & Beverage associates.Review trends with hiring manager/GMs.

    • Work with the hiring managers and GMs at end of season to "top grade" Associates for year-round retention.

  • Partner with the hiring managers to develop and promote associate recognition programs. Be creative to ensure that programs stay fresh and consistent among all the properties. Participate in the organization of scheduled events for associates. Closely monitor all recognition programs in place to ensure they remain effective.

  • Lead special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Participate in task forces and committees as requested.

  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ Years of high volume recruiting, specifically with individual performance in excess of 20 hires per month

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field or HR certification is helpful.

  • Experience with Workday Recruiting is ideal.

  • Demonstrated networking skills and community involvement.

  • Demonstrated experience with social media recruiting.

  • Ability to deal effectively with all applicants and associates, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.

  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects, supported by resources from internal and external teams.

  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
