Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Calibration Service Manager to join our Aldinger team, an Accredited Labs company. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-growing team and have a direct impact in delivering precision calibration services and leading a high-performing lab operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in calibration, proven leadership experience, and a passion for customer satisfaction.
This position is based out of our Aldinger lab facility in Dallas, Texas. We are committed to finding the right leader for this role and are pleased to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
As our Calibration Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our lab calibration operation, leading a team of Calibration Technicians and Assistant Service Managers. This role is pivotal in ensuring our lab operates at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience within the calibration industry, strong multi-discipline technical skills, and working knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 17025.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the lab calibration process, including prioritizing workflows, managing staff schedules, and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Supervise technician activities to ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and standards.
  • Ensure that technicians are thoroughly trained and consistently perform accurate calibrations and repairs in line with corporate quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales Personnel and the Branch Manager to drive profitable revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities, including pricing standards, cost justification (ROI), and training requirements.
  • Develop and manage budgets, alongside continuous improvement plans to enhance lab performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, effectively communicating the value of our services, understanding client needs, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels by delivering timely and effective solutions to inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure all customer and employee issues are promptly addressed and resolved through professional communication.
  • Maintain a safe and positive work environment.
  • Partner with corporate to manage recruitment, training, workload management, performance reviews, and conflict resolution for the team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3 years of middle supervisory or management experience within the calibration industry.
  • Strong technical skills supporting multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of quality documents such as ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 17025, ISO 9000, and ISO 16949.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate skills related to managing internal income statements.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with PC proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Ability to think creatively, take initiative, multitask, and manage projects under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support the business.
