Job description

Bus Drivers for 2025-2026 School Year
We are looking for motivated individuals to join the Weld Re-3J bus driving team.  Duties will include picking up students at stops along established routes and dropping them off at school.  This may also include transporting students and faculty to special events, such as sporting events or field trips. Our bus drivers are an essential part of our educational system and we value their contributions.  
Routes may vary within our school district which include Hudson, Lochbuie, and Keenesburg, CO.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and a clean driving record required
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical prior to hire
  • Subject to Drug and Alcohol testing
  • CDL preferred, but not required.  
  • CDL training available for eligible candidates
  • Must complete fingerprint based background check upon hire
  • Must be 19 years of age or older

Salary/Benefits/Work Schedule
  • $23.00 - $25.00 per hour for CDL Drivers, based on experience. May receive up to 10 years experience credit for CDL work within the previous 13 years.  
  • $19.00 per hour for Non-CDL, small vehicle drivers. 
  • Approximately 170 work days per school year.  Summers and breaks off (unpaid).
  • Monday - Friday, typically 4-6 hours per day based on route schedule assigned by the transportation coordinator
