Job description

Wine Sales Representative โ€” New York

PMW Selections

New York, NY

Position: Wine & Spirits Sales Representative

Territory: Greater New York โ€” all five boroughs, Westchester, and Long Island

Compensation: (Base + Commission) commensurate with experience and existing book of business

Type: Full-Time

The Opportunity

PMW Selections is growing, and we're looking for experienced wine sales professionals who want to be part of something they can shape from the ground up. We need driven individuals who already know the New York market โ€” the buyers, the accounts, the neighborhoods โ€” and want to put that knowledge to work with a company that values results and rewards them accordingly.

You'll manage a portfolio of on- and off-premise accounts across your assigned territory, from independent retailers and wine shops to restaurants and hotel programs. This role is built for someone who can walk into an account with confidence, knows how to earn shelf space, and has the relationships to back it up.

What You'll Do

Manage and grow a territory of on- and off-premise accounts throughout the New York metro area.

Present and sell our portfolio to buyers, sommeliers, bar managers, and retail decision-makers.

Open new accounts and expand placements within existing ones.

Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with your customers.

Plan and run an efficient daily route of sales calls tailored to your territory.

Partner with our team and supplier contacts to execute promotions, tastings, and trade events.

Optimize shelf positioning, display presence, and pricing to maximize visibility.

Consistently hit monthly and annual sales targets.

What We're Looking For

At least three years of wholesale wine and spirits sales experience, or equivalent on-premise/hospitality industry background.

A working knowledge of both Old and New World wines โ€” curiosity to keep learning is just as important.

A track record of creating opportunities and closing business.

Someone who operates independently, manages their own schedule, and holds themselves accountable.

Our goal is to work with representatives who have an established book of business and the confidence to back it up.

Strong communication skills โ€” whether you're presenting to a buyer or following up with a supplier.

Comfortable with technology and mobile tools for managing accounts on the go.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

What We Offer

PMW Selections offers a compensation package designed to attract top talent and keep them long-term. In addition to a competitive base salary, you'll earn commissions, monthly performance bonuses.

Equal Opportunity

PMW Selections is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building a diverse team and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
