Location: Salisbury, NC

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $75.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour days, 7:30–16:00 (Monday–Friday per unit needs); call requirement includes a minimum of 7 call days per month — typically two call days per week for two weeks each month and one call weekend per month; additional coverage may be required to meet departmental needs and is rotated equitably among all staff members; callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary

This is a combo lab (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) role with an approximate 80%–10% split, with IR being the 80% and other procedure types comprising the remaining 10%. The position involves assisting the provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including scrubbing and circulating for IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures. Medication administration is performed by RN only. The patient population served includes Adults and Geriatrics, with patient diagnoses including Vice Implants: PPM and ICD. Techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until they have their Dimensions training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
  • Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
  • Expect urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
  • Operate and utilize special equipment including: Client MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and Client Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System for Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella
  • Work as part of a call team consisting of three staff members, one of whom is an RN
  • Adhere to scheduling requirements including every third weekend rotation
  • Complete unit orientation (40–80 hours); techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed

Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Traveler experience not required
  • Local candidates accepted
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Float requirement: None
  • Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
  • No holiday RTO for this role
  • Scheduling is per unit needs
  • Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Important Notes
  • RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR.
  • No holiday RTO for this role.
  • Techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until they have their Dimensions training.
  • Please provide candidate interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting candidates to avoid holding up the approval process. The manager will NOT make an offer without speaking to/interviewing the candidate first.
  • Unit will accept contracts of 13–20 weeks.
