WAREHOUSE PORTER
POSITION: Warehouse Porter
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
  • Legends Global Alamodome, Warehouse Porter. The Warehouse Porter is an event based, part-time position. The Warehouse Porter will assist in transferring and stocking concessions before, during and after events. .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
  • Follow rules and regulations of Legends Global Food & Beverage.
  • Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Monitors stock levels, obtains supplies and equipment as requested by management.
  • Ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly.
  • Performs and assists with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Understands the importance of prompt and efficient service and continually demonstrates this to the Bartenders, Servers, Concession Attendants and Management.
  • Consistently stocks and organizes inventory based on first in, first out.
  • Demonstrates exceptional time management skills and responds promptly to last minute requests.
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain equipment standards.
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Consistently follows departmental guidelines for sanitation and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Food Handlers Permit Required in accordance with the Lincoln-Lancaster Health Department

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to understand and follow direction
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicable
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Positive attitude and neat appearance
  • English preferred as primary language, but not required
  • Will be in contact with chemical cleaning agents
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and tripping
  • Frequently immerses hands in water; works frequently in a hot and damp environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves
  • Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting
  • Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops and brooms
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
