Job description

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Repair I position is an advanced-level maintenance role responsible for independently performing complex repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. This position involves leadership in troubleshooting, mentoring less experienced technicians, supporting equipment upgrades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Pay Range: $30.49-$33.90
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment failures.
  • Lead installation, teardown, and relocation of large-scale production machinery.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment lifespan.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term corrective actions for recurring issues.
  • Support production by collaborating with operators and engineers to improve machine reliability and performance.
  • Train and mentor Maintenance Repair I team members on proper procedures, safety, and equipment handling.
  • Lead fabrication projects including design, welding, and assembly of custom tools and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management teams on equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including documentation of repairs, parts usage, and downtime.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Support cross-functional teams in problem-solving initiatives, audits, and inspections.
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management and recommend procurement based on usage trends.
Essential Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Skilled in welding, fabrication, machining, and rigging.
  • Ability to independently manage complex repair tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communicator and capable of training peers and junior team members.
  • Comfortable using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and digital tools.
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, conduit bending, and wiring practices.
Education amp; Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
