Our Production Services team manages our core infrastructure assets. Our team is the first line of support on any production related issues including our network and telecommunications, computing (middleware), and end-user support, as well as the firm's 24x7 data center operations. The Production Services team collaborates closely with our business-aligned partners in technology and with key stakeholders across the enterprise.

We are looking for Systems Administrator. In this role you will responsible for Linux Server Management within the system environment. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary. Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure application(s).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install and maintain security patches on the operational and development system, which includes but is not limited to: Red Hat Linux, Solaris and AIX

Hands on experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration (5/6/7), Solaris and AIX

Experience in Linux OS installation, Software and Patch management

Volume Manager Administration Network OS / SW installation

OS patching skills on UNIX (Linux, Solaris and AIX)

Support experience on VERITAS Volume manager and SAN related tools

Strong knowledge on RHEL (5/6/7), Solaris 10 and AIX (6/7)

Should know how to debug/troubleshoot hardware & patching issues

Must have knowledge on architectural concept regarding console servers for Linux or Solaris (SPARC)

Possess working knowledge of Veritas Cluster

Good knowledge about the Linux system files, boot process and Run levels

Familiar with the configuration and maintenance of server and network hardware and peripherals

General System Administration expertise

Some level of working knowledge on Solaris 9/10 with VERITAS Volume manager

Hands-on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux or Solaris based servers as well as configuring them

Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures

Install and configure systems which support infrastructure, hardware.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs etc.

Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Four or more years of experience as a UNIX system administrator managing servers in an enterprise environment consisting of 10,000 or more servers

Experience as a system administrator installing, configuring and updating RHEL, Solaris and AIX

Experience maintaining UNIX and/or Perl scripts used for the automation

Experience with configuring file systems using EMC storage using Logical Volume Manager (LVM)

Client-side knowledge of TSM and EMC technology

Experience in upgrading system firmware

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Information Science

Understanding of SAN/NAS (Hitachi/EMC) environment Knowledge of Middleware (Weblogic, WAS, WMQ)

Writing technical documentation skills including standards, policies and procedures
