Job description

Join the opening team at 4 Rivers Smokehouse at Orlando International Airport!

4 Rivers Smokehouse is bringing its award-winning Southern barbecue and hospitality to Orlando International Airport (MCO), and we’re looking for an experienced, energetic Full-Service Restaurant Co-Manager to help lead our team through an exciting new opening.

This is more than a restaurant management position—it’s an opportunity to be part of a brand-new location from day one, build an outstanding team, establish a strong culture, and deliver exceptional hospitality to travelers from around the world.

As a Co-Manager, you will partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team to oversee daily restaurant operations, develop our team, maintain high service standards, and help drive the success of the new MCO location.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and understands that great food is only part of a great restaurant experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations

  • Help recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing restaurant team

  • Create a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused work environment

  • Lead by example and consistently demonstrate exceptional guest service

  • Ensure food quality, cleanliness, safety, and service standards are maintained

  • Monitor restaurant performance, labor, inventory, and operating costs

  • Assist with scheduling and staffing to meet business needs

  • Handle guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into positive experiences

  • Support opening and closing procedures and ensure operational standards are followed

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and airport requirements

  • Help build a strong restaurant culture and team identity from the ground up

  • Work closely with the General Manager and support leadership team to achieve sales and operational goals

  • Step in wherever needed—this is a hands-on leadership role in a high-volume airport environment

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous restaurant management or assistant/general management experience

  • Experience in a full-service, high-volume, or fast-paced restaurant environment

  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-development skills

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and taking care of guests

  • The ability to coach and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive culture

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to remain calm, professional, and focused during busy service periods

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • A team-first mindset and willingness to work alongside the restaurant team

  • The ability to thrive in a unique airport environment where speed, consistency, and hospitality are equally important

  • Airport or travel-hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.
Why Join Our Opening Team?

There’s something special about opening a restaurant.

You’ll have the opportunity to help build the team, shape the culture, establish operating routines, and create the guest experience from the beginning. You won’t be stepping into an established restaurant—you’ll be helping create what comes next.

At 4 Rivers Smokehouse, we believe in taking care of our guests, taking care of our people, and doing things the right way. If you’re an experienced restaurant leader who wants to be part of an exciting new opening and make an immediate impact, we’d love to meet you.

Ready to Lead the Opening?

If you’re a hospitality-driven restaurant leader who is ready to help launch a brand-new 4 Rivers Smokehouse location at one of the nation’s busiest airports, we want to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of the team opening 4 Rivers Smokehouse at MCO!
