Position summary:

Retail Sales / Warehouse Support Associate will proactively sell merchandise and provide exceptional customer service in a retail establishment at HNL or OGG Airport. Associates will provide warehouse support onsite, in addition to working with the store manager and supervisors to drive sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and engage them to ascertain their needs and/or wants.
  • Inquire upon clients’ needs and / or wants to assist them with finding merchandise.
  • Recommend additional merchandise or alternatives to complement desired products.
  • Answer clients’ questions regarding the store and its merchandise displayed.
  • Maintain product knowledge, as well as knowledge about sales and promotions, and flight changes occurring.
  • Assist with delivery of merchandise to and from the store within the terminals.
  • Maintain security standards with the store to ensure safety of clients, colleagues and merchandise.
  • Load and Unload boxes from trucks. Receive, unpack, check, package and ship out retail merchandise.
  • Assist with restocking of merchandise in an organized manner.
  • Light cleaning of shelves, counters, and tables to maintain a professional environment.
  • Other duties may be required, as assigned by management.
  • Deliver sold Duty Free merchandise to customers at the departure gates.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, dependable -- Follow instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, attention to detail.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous customer service or selling experience
  • Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving experience is a Plus.
  • Must be a team player and present a professional appearance.
  • Bi-lingual skills preferred, not required (Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Turkish)
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable in operating machinery.
  • Flexiblity with schedule; Evening, Weekends and Holidays are MANDATORY!
  • Participation in semi-annual inventory required.
  • Must pass airport security background check.
