Role Overview

Sodexo Live! Airline Lounges is hiring a Segment Finance Director.  This position is a remote based position, and we are looking for someone based in the midwest or east coast living near a major airport.  Travel for this role is estimated at about 20%.  

The Segment Finance Director - Airline Lounges is a senior finance leader responsible for developing, driving, and executing the financial strategy for a complex, multi-location portfolio of airport lounge operations.  This role provides financial leadership, influence, and partnership across control, planning, financial analysis, project management, training, risk mitigation, contract mobilization, contract management, and accounting.  The Director II of Finance ensures complete  knowledge of monthly and long-term financial results for the assigned portfolio, drives segment initiatives, and makes recommendations to Sodexo and client senior management. The role partners closely with segment and operational leadership to align financial performance with strategic objectives. You'll partner closely with the Account Director, operational leaders, and client stakeholders to ensure strong forecasting, clear financial storytelling, disciplined contract stewardship, and proactive risk management-so service delivery and financial performance stay aligned with the client's priorities.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Facing Partnership & Governance
  • Serve as the finance point-of-contact for the client on agreed financial routines (e.g., governance meetings, business reviews, budget planning touchpoints).
  • Translate account financial performance into a clear, client-ready narrative-connecting results to operational drivers, service outcomes, and contract commitments.
  • Partner with Account Leadership to prepare client-facing materials (QBR content, forecasts/outlooks, performance summaries, and improvement roadmaps).
  • Build credibility through accuracy, transparency, responsiveness, and follow-through-especially during periods of change (scope changes, pricing questions, cost pressures).
  • Lead Sodexo Financial Performance
  • Partner with Operations to ensure delivery of key measures across the portfolio (Revenue, Gross Profit, Capex, and DSO) and drive clear action plans to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide visibility into the drivers of revenue, margin, expenses, and working capital; surface risks/opportunities early and recommend decisive actions.
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly performance routines: forecasting, variance analysis, and executive-ready reporting/presentations.
  • Partner with operations to identify performance improvement opportunities and track results.
  • Ensure strong risk management and internal controls: policy adherence, issue identification, remediation tracking, and appropriate escalation.
  • Contract stewardship

  • Support account receivables routines to improve cash performance/DSO while minimizing friction for the client
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports (if applicable) and strengthen financial acumen across the account leadership team
  • Partner across Sodexo functions (operations, supply chain, project teams, segment finance) to deliver timely reporting, insights, and client commitments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience (Master's degree a plus).
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience with significant exposure to P&L and balance sheet management in complex, contract-driven or service environments.
  • Proven track record partnering with senior leadership and clients; demonstrated gravitas to challenge assumptions related to pricing, project costing, and accounting.
  • Advanced ability to develop and communicate insights through financial modeling, analytics, and executive presentations; comfortable in client-facing settings.
  • Strong understanding of commercial models, and contract terms and conditions.
  • Process-oriented mindset with experience implementing and improving finance processes and controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
