Aircraft Structures Mechanic Jobs in Texas (NOW HIRING)

Join our team as a Structures Mechanic, where you will perform heavy structural repairs, maintenance, and modifications on F/A-18 Aircraft. This role involves working with various materials, including composites, titanium, aluminum, and using specialized tools such as carbide drills and piloted reamers.

• Perform heavy structural repairs and maintenance on F/A-18 Aircraft.
• Conduct modifications and depot-level maintenance on aircraft.
• Use carbide drills and piloted reamers for composite and titanium drilling.
• Utilize high-speed steel and cobalt drills for aluminum.
• Execute aircraft modifications and structural repairs.

• 3 - 8+ years of recent experience in depot-level/heavy checks on aircraft.
• Experience in equipment overhauls and modifications.
• Proficiency in structural repairs and sheet-metal modifications.
• Familiarity with military aircraft such as F/A-18F, F-18, and Super Hornet.

• Background in military, jet, structural, and sheet metal work.
• Experience with the Air Force, Navy, Marines, or Boeing is beneficial.
• Knowledge of corrosion prevention and control on aircraft.

Be part of the team working on the F-18 program for the Navy. San Antonio is a central hub for service life modification of the F-18 aircraft. You will have the opportunity to work on block 3 modifications, transforming them into 5th generation fighters, the most tactical aircraft in the U.S. Navy's inventory.

You will work in an open-bay, non-climate controlled environment. Shifts are flexible, with 1st Shift from 5:30am-2:30pm and 2nd Shift from 2pm-10:30pm, and optional overtime. Employees can expense $100 per year for steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
