Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management is an individual contributor role focused on expanding Walmart's Air Freight capabilities through CargoWise. This role will partner closely with Air Operations, Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define business requirements, support solution design, and drive implementation of capabilities that improve the execution, visibility, and scalability of Walmart's global air freight network.
About the team: The Global Logistics Operations Automation team is responsible for driving technology-enabled transformation across Walmart’s global transportation network. The team partners closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, and external providers to deliver scalable solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, compliance, and operational execution across ocean, air, and inland transportation. As part of this mission, the team is leading the expansion of Air Freight capabilities within CargoWise to support Walmart's growing global logistics network. The team works closely with Air Operations, Origin Operations, Destination Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to define future-state processes, implement technology solutions, and drive adoption across domestic and international markets.
What you'll do: This individual will be responsible for gathering and prioritizing business requirements, driving cross-functional alignment, supporting product roadmap discussions, and ensuring successful adoption of new capabilities. The role will work across internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve operational performance, and deliver measurable business value through automation and technology. As an individual contributor, this position will lead through influence rather than direct people management. Success requires strong stakeholder management, the ability to navigate complex business and technology environments, and the capability to drive initiatives from discovery through implementation. Success in this role requires deep experience in air freight operations and global logistics, along with a strong understanding of transportation technology platforms, particularly CargoWise. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating between business and technology teams, driving execution across multiple stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
