Job description

HVAC Mechanic I (Data Center / Telecom) — Cleveland, OH (On-site)
3-month contract | 40 hrs/week | Start time typically 6am–9am (negotiable) 


We’re hiring an HVAC Mechanic I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on critical cooling systems supporting telecom/data center facilities in Cleveland. You’ll work on equipment such as CRAC/CRAH units, condensers/dry coolers, DX split systems, pumps, RTUs, VFDs, chillers, and BMS.


What you’ll do

  • PMs: coil cleaning, belt/filter changes, lubrication, operational checks (voltage/amps/pressures)
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment; prioritize repairs after PM completion
  • Read mechanical/electrical schematics
  • Document work in a CMMS


Required

  • EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred)
  • 2+ years commercial HVAC experience (data center/CRAC experience a plus)
  • Must provide own HVAC tools: hand tools, drill, reclaimervacuum pump, gauges (R22/R407c/R410A), torch set
  • Basic computer skills + cell phone; reliable transportation
  • Comfortable in industrial environments; may include on-call/overtime as needed
