Compressor Technician

Brandon & Clark is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Compressor Technician to join our Industrial Compressor Services team. This position is ideal for an individual who excels in troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of industrial air compressor systems. The Compressor Technician also plays a key role in mentoring apprentices, modeling safe work practices, and upholding Brandon & Clark’s commitment to quality and professionalism. This is an hourly, field-based role requiring strong technical knowledge, independence, and a dedication to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, service, and repair of rotary screw, reciprocating, and oil-free compressors, as well as supporting equipment (dryers, filters, FRLs, and controls).

• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) services, including inspections, adjustments, lubrication, filter changes, and performance checks.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and test results.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Brandon & Clark professionally at all times.
• Mentor and support less experienced technicians in the field.
• Comply with all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
• Travel regularly, including overnight stays and rotating on-call assignments (evenings, weekends, holidays).

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and computer-based systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and confined space procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and work in diverse environmental conditions.
