Air Compressor Systems Service Specialist (Field)

Are you energized by solving real-world problems out in the field? At Comp-Air Ohioโ€”Northern Ohioโ€™s long-standing Gardner Denver distributor for nearly five decadesโ€”youโ€™ll keep critical compressed air systems operating safely and efficiently for manufacturers across the region.

  • Do you enjoy diagnosing tough faults on air compressors across multiple brands?
  • Have you worked on refrigerated and desiccant dryers and know how to keep them reliable?
  • Can you install new equipment and tie in plant air piping with a professional finish?
  • Do electrical controls, interlocks, and schematics feel like a language you speak?
  • Are you comfortable traveling locally and taking on occasional evening/weekend work when customers need you most?
What youโ€™ll tackle
  • On-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of compressor makes and models.
  • Service and upkeep of refrigerated and desiccant air dryers.
  • Installation of compressors/dryers and integration of plant air piping.
  • Electrical control diagnostics and corrective actions to restore uptime.
  • Customer support, from PM recommendations to reliability upgrades.
What you bring to the team
  • 3โ€“5 yearsโ€™ experience working with industrial compressors or related industrial equipment.
  • Strong electrical control troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
  • Refrigerant recovery certification.
  • Solid grounding in pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
  • Personal hand tools and electrical test meters.
  • A professional, customer-first attitude.
