EnTech Engineering, P.C. is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm devoted to delivering best-in-class design and construction support services for infrastructure and facility projects that strengthen communities nationwide. Based in New York City, our firm is comprised of engineers, technologists, environmental scientists, construction professionals, and consultants who are passionate about improving the infrastructure, buildings, and communities that surround us.

About the Role

EnTech is seeking a full-time Senior Traffic Engineer / Project Manager. This is a long-term position based in our New York City headquarters.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead business development efforts and serve as a technical lead on proposals

  • Manage the Traffic Design Group

  • Represent EnTech at project meetings and coordinate with clients such as PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, and NYCDDC

  • Oversee traffic simulation modeling and capacity analysis

  • Evaluate traffic signal operations and provide recommendations

  • Manage traffic data collection programs

  • Develop and maintain traffic databases

  • Perform traffic forecasting and projections

  • Conduct trip generation and trip distribution analyses

  • Prepare technical reports and traffic studies

  • Lead traffic design, including pavement markings, signage, and WZTC/MPT design


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Civil or Traffic Engineering

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in traffic/transportation engineering

  • New York Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • PTOE certification is desirable but not required

  • Proficiency in HCM/HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, CORSIM, Aimsun, and VISSIM

  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation required

  • Strong familiarity with PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, and NYCDDC standards and procedures

  • Excellent communication and project management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal teams and external clients


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing traffic engineering studies and simulation analyses, including:

    • Traffic data collection program development and management

    • Capacity analysis, accident studies, and signal warrant studies

    • Roundabout studies, signal optimization, and level-of-service analysis

    • Intersection and arterial/corridor analysis

  • Experience providing traffic input for environmental studies (NEPA & CEQR) and roadway design, including:

    • Traffic impact studies, geometric and intersection design

    • Traffic signals, roadway signing, pavement markings, and WZTC/MPT plans

    • Design Approval Documents and traffic signal operation analyses

  • Experience preparing technical reports for agencies such as PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, and NYCDDC

Estimated Annual Compensation:

$155,000 - $195,000 (commensurate with experience)
