Job Summary:
Yaskawa Motoman is focused on autonomous AI/ML robotic automation systems, and they are seeking an AI Software Engineer to develop and analyze software applications. This role involves writing and modifying software specifications, utilizing strong software engineering skills combined with AI/ML development experience.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Conceptualize and develop new software programs and products for PC and embedded applications.
โ€ข Prepare and document software application requirements and specifications.
โ€ข Research and document requirements of users.
โ€ข Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
โ€ข Utilize Agile development and perform testing for the purposes of correcting errors and isolating areas for improvement.
โ€ข Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem code areas.
โ€ข Assist in the development and maintenance of software manuals and release notes.
โ€ข Perform software improvements and upgrades.
โ€ข Write description of steps taken to modify system and procedures required to implement new software.
โ€ข Assist customers who have problems with use of software.
โ€ข Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to describe and modify application software.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from a four-year college or university
โ€ข one to three years of related experience with Python, ANSI C, C++, Microsoft C#, .NET development environment
โ€ข AI/ML model development and tuning for domain-specific tasks
โ€ข Strong grasp of AI/ML development and concepts
โ€ข Hands-on C/C++, C# .NET software programming of hardware and/or automation devices
โ€ข Motivated to learn and understand new technologies
โ€ข Strong interpersonal skills
โ€ข Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
โ€ข Highly self-motivated and directed
โ€ข Keen attention to detail
โ€ข Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
