Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer (AI Engineer)
Location: Columbus, OH (Must be local to the area at the time of application)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Days: Monday - Friday
Term on Contract: 1-Year Contract with the possibility of extension for up to an additional 2 years. Extensions are not guaranteed.
Pay Rate Range: $78.00 - $105.00 per hour DOE

Sr. Software Engineer (AI Engineer)

What This Role Is Really Looking For
We're looking for an AI Engineer who can move beyond experimentation and deliver production-ready AI solutions.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with both Agentic AI and traditional AI development, understands how to orchestrate AI workflows, and can integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications. You should be comfortable owning projects, driving technical decisions, and delivering results with minimal oversight.
This role requires someone who can bridge software engineering, AI architecture, data engineering, and cloud technologies to create innovative solutions that scale across the enterprise.
What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise AI solutions
• Build and enhance Agentic AI systems and underlying agent frameworks
• Develop AI models using structured and unstructured datasets
• Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise applications and platforms
• Design AI orchestration workflows using enterprise automation tools
• Build APIs and services that enable AI-driven business capabilities
• Collaborate within Agile and DevOps delivery teams
• Participate in system architecture, technical design, and code reviews
• Support operational excellence through monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions
• Lead technical initiatives and manage project deliverables with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Experience

• Strong software engineering experience developing enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions
• Experience developing traditional AI and machine learning models
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise systems and workflows
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments
• Ability to independently manage projects and technical deliverables

Technical Skills

• Agentic AI development

• Data engineering concepts and practices
• Cloud-based AI platforms
• Enterprise software development

Preferred Experience

• Experience with AI orchestration platforms such as n8n
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and Agent Core
• Strong understanding of machine learning lifecycle management
• Experience deploying AI solutions in AWS and/or Azure environments
• Experience with enterprise-scale AI implementations
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment strategies
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring development teams
