Milliman’s CMH Health practice is seeking a Technical AI Product Lead who will function as “The Designer,” by creating solutions and making appropriate tradeoffs while prioritizing cost reduction and system reliability with a focus on efficiency. As a feature owner, the Technical AI Product Lead will own specific features from concept to client delivery within speed, cost, and quality constraints and interact with internal consultants to understand user needs and perform initial reasonableness checks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet task and project deadlines through active dependency management and delivery cadence

    Minimum requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 4+ years of experience in software development with a focus on AI and machine learning applications.
    • Experience working with foundational model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama)
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#, and experience with AI frameworks like LangChain, OpenAI, LlamaIndex, PromptFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
    • Experience implementing and integrating pre-trained AI models into applications.
    • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and natural language processing techniques.
    • Familiarity with software development practices, version control systems, and agile methodologies.
    • Experience working with cloud technologies (Azure) and handling large datasets (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Lakes).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex AI-related issues.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and regulatory considerations is preferred.

        The Team

        The Technical AI Product Lead will join a team that thrives on leveraging generative AI technology, analytics, and data to deliver meaningful business value.  This is a team with technical aptitude and analytical prowess that enjoys building efficient and scalable products and processes. Ultimately, we are passionate about affecting change in healthcare. 

        This role will join a mix of software development, actuary, pharmacist, and consulting professionals and work on several different initiatives with a focus on new innovations.         Location

        It is preferred that candidates work on-site at our Brookfield, Wisconsin office, however, remote candidates will be considered. The expected application deadline for this job is October 30, 2026.

        Compensation

        The overall salary range for this role is $117,500 - $279,680. For candidates residing in:

        Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:

        • $131,125 - $222,985 if overall experience is less than 6 years; and
        • $169,510 - $279,680 for experience greater than 6 years

        All other states:

        • $117,500 - $193,900 if overall experience is less than 6 years; and
        • $147,400 - $243,200 for experience greater than 6 years

        A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
