Enforcement Operations Specialist (Cyber & AI Safety)

Location: Remote or Onsite (Open to candidates in any time zone)
Duration: 6-Month W2 Contract (Potential for Extension)
Pay Rate: $110โ€“$120/hour W2 (Depending on Experience)

About the Opportunity

Russell Tobin is supporting a leading AI technology organization seeking experienced Enforcement Operations Specialists to join a growing Cyber & Safety Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, trust & safety, policy enforcement, and AI risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a cybersecurity background, the ability to review and understand code, and experience identifying potentially harmful or abusive behavior across digital platforms. Candidates with Cyber Defense, Threat Analysis, Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, or Risk Operations experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Important: This role may require exposure to sensitive content, including material that may be sexual, violent, offensive, or psychologically disturbing in nature.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer signals, user interactions, and code to identify potential policy violations and account abuse.

  • Apply and enforce established safety, security, and enforcement policies with accuracy and consistency.

  • Label and classify data to support machine learning models and automated detection systems.

  • Investigate suspicious activity and identify emerging abuse patterns, security risks, and policy trends.

  • Collaborate with Policy Managers, Threat Investigators, Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve enforcement processes.

  • Conduct enforcement audits and escalate high-risk findings when appropriate.

  • Evaluate new products and features for potential misuse, abuse, or safety concerns.

  • Handle customer communications, enforcement appeals, and policy-related inquiries.

  • Produce regular operational reports highlighting trends, risks, and enforcement outcomes.

  • Support surge review efforts and operational workflows during periods of increased volume.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in cybersecurity, cyber defense, trust & safety, content moderation, risk operations, fraud investigations, or related operational environments.

  • Ability to review, understand, and analyze code for potential misuse or policy concerns.

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply complex policies and guidelines.

  • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Cyber Defense, Threat Intelligence, SOC, Incident Response, or Security Operations experience.

  • Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, Platform Integrity, or Abuse Prevention experience.

  • Familiarity with policy enforcement on digital platforms.

  • Understanding of AI safety, responsible AI, and emerging technology risks.

  • Experience analyzing user behavior and identifying platform abuse patterns.

  • Experience creating reports, documenting findings, and communicating recommendations to stakeholders.
