Job description

Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking an experienced Leader, AI Product Management to drive the adoption and deployment of artificial intelligence tools across our organization. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of technology, education, and operations. You will serve as the primary champion for AI literacy and capability-building at SA, partnering with teams throughout the network to identify opportunities, launch AI-powered projects, and upskill staff to work confidently with emerging tools. We are building toward becoming the first AI-native K-12 enterprise in the country, transforming every workflow, from classroom content to legal contracts to college counseling, into an AI-first process. The person in this role will be at the center of that transformation.

What You'll Do:

AI Training & Enablement

  • Design and deliver hands-on training programs to equip teams across SA with the AI skills and workflows they need to do their jobs better and faster.
  • Develop practical guides, playbooks, and resources that demystify AI tools for a non-technical audience.
  • Build a community of AI champions within SA's departments, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
  • Stay current on the latest AI developments and translate them into actionable opportunities for the organization.

AI Project Deployment

  • Partner with department leaders to identify, scope, and prioritize AI integration opportunities across academic, operational, and administrative functions.
  • Own end-to-end project management for AI deployments - from requirements gathering and vendor evaluation through implementation, testing, and rollout.
  • Manage relationships with AI tool vendors and external partners, ensuring deliverables meet SA's quality and compliance standards.
  • Define success metrics for each AI initiative and track outcomes, sharing learnings with senior leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Collaborate with IT, data, legal, and compliance teams to ensure responsible, secure, and equitable AI adoption.

People Management

  • Directly manage, coach, and elevate a high-performing team of 7 Product Managers, transforming a group of individual contributors into a cohesive, high-velocity product org.
  • Establish rigorous professional development plans, holding the team to high standards of excellence while actively upskilling them in data-driven decision-making, strict prioritization, and user empathy.
  • Define and enforce standardized product management frameworks across the team to ensure consistency and quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, technology implementation, AI engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of direct people management experience.
  • Demonstrated fluency with modern AI tools and platforms, with hands-on experience using Claude (Anthropic) and OpenAI products in a professional setting.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception through successful delivery.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills - able to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and inspire confidence in AI adoption.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve, and creative problem-solving is essential.
  • Must be based in New York City and available to work in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and comfort building or overseeing agent workflows.
  • Experience with rapid app development platforms such as Lovable, Replit, or similar AI-assisted build tools.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, data privacy considerations, and responsible AI principles.
