Position Summary
We are seeking a curious, analytical, and execution-oriented Product Management Intern to support the development and adoption of AI-enabled products and workflow automation initiatives across the organization. Working closely with the SVP, Strategic Projects and cross-functional partners, the intern will help identify high-value use cases, translate business needs into clear product requirements, support rapid prototyping, and measure the impact of AI-powered solutions. This internship is ideal for a student who is interested in the intersection of product management, artificial intelligence, business operations, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and business teams to identify and evaluate opportunities where AI can simplify complex workflows, improve user experiences, or increase operational efficiency.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements for AI-enabled products, workflow automations, and internal tools.

  • Translate business needs into product requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and prioritized backlogs.

  • Support the discovery, design, prototyping, testing, and rollout of AI product concepts, including proof-of-concept solutions and dashboards.

  • Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and workflow analysis to understand pain points, validate assumptions, and define measurable outcomes.

  • Contribute to AI initiatives across multiple products and business lines

  • Develop frameworks and scorecards for measuring AI product success, including adoption, accuracy, time savings, quality, user satisfaction, and business impact.

  • Assist with defining MVP scope, prioritizing features, evaluating trade-offs, and maintaining clear product roadmaps and delivery plans.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to track milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and action items.

  • Support product testing by documenting test scenarios, gathering feedback, identifying issues, and validating that solutions meet user and business requirements.

  • Research emerging AI capabilities, product management practices, and relevant market trends, and summarize practical implications for the organization.

  • Prepare clear presentations, product updates, recommendations, and demonstrations for business and senior leadership audiences.

  • Maintain product documentation, decision logs, implementation materials, and user guidance to support successful adoption.

  • Apply responsible AI principles by considering data quality, privacy, security, transparency, human oversight, and potential business risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Product Management, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated interest in AI-enabled products, automation, digital platforms, or technology-driven business transformation.

  • Foundational understanding of product management practices, including customer discovery, requirements gathering, user stories, prioritization, MVP definition, and product metrics.

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous business challenges.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and follow through on commitments.

  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and geographically distributed environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 productivity tools or comparable collaboration, presentation, and data-analysis platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous internship, academic, or project experience in product management, software development, business analysis, consulting, operations, or UX research.

  • Experience creating product requirements, business cases, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, dashboards, or process documentation.

  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt design, AI agents, retrieval-based applications, or machine-learning product concepts.

  • Experience with low-code or no-code automation and prototyping tools.

  • Exposure to agile delivery methods, product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, or data visualization.

  • Interest in regulated, data-intensive, financial, sustainability, energy, or environmental markets.

Compensation:
The anticipated hourly pay range for this internship is $20-$25 per hour for undergraduate students and $30-$35 per hour for graduate-level students, based on a good-faith estimate. Actual pay within these ranges may vary based on academic level, skills, and relevant experience, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
