What is the difference between Ai Frontend Developer vs Machine Learning Engineer?

AspectAi Frontend DeveloperMachine Learning Engineer
CredentialsBachelor's in CS, Web Development skillsBachelor's/Master's in CS, Data Science or ML specialization
Work EnvironmentWeb development teams, UI/UX focusData science teams, algorithm development
Industry UsageAI-powered web apps, interactive interfacesAI models, data pipelines, predictive systems
Search & Comparison IntentFocus on frontend AI integrationFocus on AI model development

While both roles involve AI, an Ai Frontend Developer specializes in integrating AI features into web interfaces, whereas a Machine Learning Engineer focuses on developing and deploying AI models and algorithms. The roles often collaborate but differ in technical focus and work environment.

What is a $900000 AI job?

A $900,000 AI job typically refers to a high-level position in artificial intelligence, such as senior AI engineer, machine learning director, or AI research scientist, often requiring advanced skills in programming, data analysis, and deep learning. These roles usually involve leadership responsibilities, specialized expertise, and may be found in large tech companies or innovative startups offering competitive compensation packages. Such salaries reflect the high demand for AI talent and the complexity of the work involved.

Will AI take front-end developer jobs?

AI front-end development tools can automate repetitive tasks and assist in coding, but they are unlikely to fully replace front-end developers who design user interfaces, ensure usability, and handle complex problem-solving. Developers will need to adapt by learning new skills such as working with AI tools and understanding user experience design. Human oversight remains essential for creating effective and accessible web applications.

How much do AI coders get paid?

AI frontend developers typically earn between $80,000 and $150,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and skill level. Salaries tend to be higher in tech hubs and for those with expertise in machine learning frameworks and programming languages like Python and JavaScript.

Which 3 jobs will survive AI?

For an AI Frontend Developer, roles that require complex problem-solving, creativity, and human interaction are more likely to survive AI automation. These include positions like UX/UI Designer, AI Specialist, and Software Architect, which involve designing user experiences, developing AI models, and overseeing system integration. Continuous learning and expertise in tools like JavaScript, React, and machine learning frameworks help maintain job relevance.

Location: Huntsville, AL
Work Environment: Hybrid
Role Summary
Exiger is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build and deliver the user experience layer of a highly strategic, federally aligned supply chain resilience initiative. Reporting to engineering leadership, this individual will own dashboards, user experience, and visualization delivery within a live control-tower environment.
This is a mission-critical role focused on transforming complex data into intuitive, decision-ready interfaces for operators, analysts, and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong TypeScript development experience, working knowledge of Python and PySpark, and experience supporting government customers or programs.
What You'll Do
  • Design and build intuitive dashboards that support real-time operational decision-making
  • Own the user experience across control-tower workflows, ensuring clarity, usability, and performance
  • Develop data visualizations that translate complex supply chain and risk data into actionable insights
  • Build frontend applications and reusable components using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Partner with product, design, backend, data, and platform engineers to integrate APIs and data services.
  • Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers and government stakeholders to rapidly prototype, evaluate, and refine features.
  • Establish frontend standards for component architecture, visualization, accessibility, testing, and performance.
  • Support Python and PySpark-based services by understanding their data contracts and translating their outputs into user-facing experiences.

What You Need
  • Strong experience building modern frontend applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards, operational interfaces, or interactive data visualizations.
  • Experience integrating frontend systems with APIs, backend services, and data platforms
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and the ability to translate complex data into intuitive interfaces
  • Ability to translate complex operational requirements and loosely defined workflows into intuitive interfaces.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven, or mission-critical environments
  • Prior experience supporting government customers, programs, or regulated environments
  • US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Experience working with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of Python, PySpark, and data-processing pipelines.
  • Background in analytics platforms, SaaS products, or data-driven applications
  • Experience supporting federal government or national security programs
  • Active security clearance
Professional Experience Required
  • 3-8 years of experience in frontend development, full-stack development, data application development, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards, operational interfaces, or data visualization applications
  • Experience working with TypeScript, Python, and PySpark
  • Government facing experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance at minimum

Why You'll Love Working at Exiger:
  • High-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
  • Discretionary Time Off for all employees, with no maximum limits on time off
  • Industry leading health, vision, and dental benefits
  • Competitive compensation package
  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
  • Flexible, hybrid approach to working from home and in the office where applicable
  • Focus on wellness and employee health through stipends and dedicated wellness programming
  • Purposeful career development programs with reimbursement provided for educational certifications
