Project Team Roles

The following position comprises a multidisciplinary delivery team responsible for planning, building, integrating, deploying, and operating an AI-enabled chatbot capability using an iterative, sprint-based approach with security and risk management embedded throughout.

AI Business Analyst (Financial)

KL Scott and Associates is seeking an AI Business Analyst (Financial). This role bridges business, technical, and operational teams to ensure the AI chatbot delivers measurable value and sustained adoption. The position combines senior business analysis, operational readiness, utilization monitoring, training, and support coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate will reside in or within commutable distance to Washington DC.

Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with leadership, users, data teams, and IT to capture functional and non-functional needs.
  • Develop and manage user stories, process maps, wireframe requirements, and traceability to deliverables and metrics.
  • Define baseline performance measures and assist with target-state KPIs for time savings, accuracy, user satisfaction, and operational impact.
  • Support product analytics and utilization reporting; translate insights into backlog improvements and release priorities.
  • Develop training materials, FAQs, and communications artifacts to support rollout, adoption, and ongoing support.
  • Coordinate UAT planning and scripts; ensure stakeholder validation and readiness for release.
  • Translates stakeholder needs into clear requirements, workflows, and user stories with testable acceptance criteria.
  • Supports stakeholder engagement, baseline measurement, training and communications deliverables, and utilization reporting to drive adoption and realized value.
  • Support the harvesting and refinement of solutions for internal KLSA product portfolio.
  • Ability to operate with minimal management oversight and maintain compliance in alignment to project requirements.
  • Ability to engage with, collaborate, and present to executive stakeholders (CFO), technical leaders (CDO), and mission leaders (Division Directors).
  • Maintain professional execution of project delivery while engaging with executive presence as all times.

Qualifications: 

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications: CBAP/CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile (CSM/PSM), Human-Centered Design training (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, operational support, or IT delivery roles; 1–2+ years supporting AI-enabled solutions (chatbots, knowledge tools, or analytics modernization).
  • Experience supporting AI-enabled or analytics platforms preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance eligibility.
