Job description

Your Opportunity:

At AHS, we understand how important our people are to fulfilling our mission of providing a patient-focused, high quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans. Our most important asset is our people; when you are at your best, we are at our best. That's why we provide a variety of benefits to enhance the health and well-being of our employees and their families. It's one more reason we believe life is better with AHS. If you are a Registered Nurse who likes small town living, and enjoys working with the elderly, then this position in the Crowsnest Pass might be for you! Crowsnest Pass Continuing Care is a 50-bed unit located in a rural setting where Registered Nurses work within an interdisciplinary team environment to provide client centered care. The RN/RPN will be required to provide leadership including direction, supervision, mentoring, constructive feedback and client care coordination to other professionals and unregulated staff. In this case management role, the RN/RPN must have the ability to use critical thinking skills to plan, assess, implement and evaluate client centered care. The Town of Blairmore is one of the largest communities in Crowsnest Pass, and acts as a hub for the surrounding communities of Bellevue, Frank and Coleman. Blairmore is located 135 kilometers southwest of Lethbridge and 225.5 kilometers southwest of Calgary. Residents of Crowsnest Pass enjoy the best of mountain living, with all essential modern amenities. There is an incredible variety of sports activities, including a eighteen-hole golf course, and a ski hill. Life in Blairmore can be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be.
