Job description

The Southern New Hampshire Area Health Education Center (SNHAHEC), a program of Lamprey Health Care, is seeking a Program Coordinator who assists and provides support to programs designed to increase access to quality health care in Southern New Hampshire with special emphasis on medically underserved areas. The AHEC program improves the supply and distribution of primary health care professionals by establishing and coordinating partnerships with community-based providers in academic institutions, by providing training opportunities for nurses, medical students, and other health related professions in a rural community setting, and by promoting health careers awareness to minority and disadvantaged high school students.This hybrid position is primarily remote AND will need to be within commuting distance to the Raymond, NH community as well as southern NH in general for in person work and support for program events.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinates activities related to evidence-based self-management program including leading workshops, conducting community outreach, preparing for Network meetings, collecting and reporting on evaluation data, organizing Leader training opportunities and maintaining database of active Leaders.Assist with workforce development and training initiatives, including coordination and implementation of health career awareness programs, such as summer camp, school-year events and other related projects.Coordinate training opportunities for community health workers.Coordinates activities related to the AHEC operations including web site management, social media, marketing, newsletter development, and support of health sector partnership and other meetings.Position requires an Associate’s Degree or 3-5 years of related experience.Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize and operate successfully in a fast-paced environment utilizing critical thinking skills.Experience conducting presentations and trainings.Comfort with office technology and willingness to learn emerging technology.Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and attention to detail.Well-developed diplomacy skills and respect for all perspectives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
