Job description

JOB TITLE

Production Control Automated Logistics

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Automated Logistics Specialist is responsible for monitoring and managing our AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) logistics supply system. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of the AGV systems, facilitate efficient logistics processes, and optimize overall supply chain performance. This candidate will improve the material flow within the automotive production lines to minimize downtime, reduce waste, identify bottlenecks, and increase production efficiency.


    Monitor the performance and functionality of AGV systems in real-time. (Automated Logistics)
    Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of AGV operations to ensure optimal performance.
    Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to align AGV operations with supply chain requirements.
    Analyze data from AGV systems to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
    Analyze live error, identify cause and apply solution.
    Develop and implement standard operating procedures for AGV monitoring and maintenance.
    Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to address technical issues and upgrades related to AGV systems.
    Prepare reports on AGV performance metrics and present to management.
    Performs cross functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering.
    Meet all other requirements as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

equired:
    Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. An advanced degree may be preferred.
    At least 1 years of experience in material control, inventory management, or supply chain management.
    Previous experience with AGV systems or automated logistics solutions preferred.
    Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to supply chain.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and team working ability.
    Proficient in data analysis tools and logistics management software.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred:
    Years of experience in automotive industry strongly preferred.
    Working skill set in: Data Analytics, SAP, Python, SQL, and Power BI.
    Advanced excel skill set: advanced Macro, VBA

Travel Requirement
    Domestic / International travel may be required.

Working Hours (Shift) Requirement

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
    Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
    Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
    Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed
When in Production Area (if applicable):
    Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
    Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25-30 pounds)
    Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
    Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
    Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
    Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
    Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
    Consistent and punctual attendance
    Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
