Meadowland Farmers Coop proudly serves 15 small town communities in Southwest Minnesota providing Agronomy, Grain, Energy and Feed services. We currently have an Agronomy Sales position available at our Lamberton, MN location due to employee retirement. The position will start with a solid book of business. Position:           Agronomy Sales Reports To:      Agronomy Division Manager Job OverviewMeadowland Farmers Coop agronomy locations throughout Southwest Minnesota provide high quality fertilizer, seed and crop production products and agronomy and technical services, including crop input planning and fertilizer and chemical application, using our state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Agronomy sales staff help the operations team execute the sales. The Agronomy Sales position is an integral part of the location team, ensuring a high level of customer service and operations support for the location and its customers. Job ResponsibilitiesAgronomy product sales.Provide a high level of customer service both on the phone and in person, answering questions and providing advice to patrons.Load Agronomy products for customers including – seed, crop protection (chemicals), and fertilizers (liquid, dry, and NH3)Work alongside agronomy operations staff to safely deliver and distribute agronomy products.Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures.Accurately record and manage inventory to maintain appropriate product levels onsite.Adhere to all workplace safety, product safety, and environmental regulations. RequirementsAssociate degree in agriculture related field or High school diploma and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Strong computer skills.Detail oriented, high level of accuracy, and excellent organization skills. Desired RequirementsFive plus years in an agronomy sales roleCDL A or B truck, trailer, and Hazmat endorsementApplicator License/Experience – Field Crop Fertilizers and Pesticides Work Environment/Physical DemandsEmployees must be physically able to perform all requirements of the job, including but not limited to using hands to finger, handle or feel, seeing, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
