We are seeking an experienced ArcGIS Enterprise Solutions Architect with 5-7 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise geospatial systems. This role is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing ArcGIS Enterprise environments, developing and guiding enterprise GIS strategies, and integrating geospatial capabilities into broader organizational IT and business workflows. This position will also participate in establishing geospatial governance frameworks, including defining Enterprise vs. AGOL hosting recommendations, metadata standards, and archiving timeframes.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement ArcGIS Enterprise architectures, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and Enterprise Geodatabases
  • Develop system architecture diagrams and deployment strategies for cloud and on-prem environments
  • Configure and manage ArcGIS Enterprise environments to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
  • Integrate ArcGIS platforms with enterprise systems
  • Support deployment automation and DevOps practices for geospatial systems
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior staff
  • Perform system performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ensure QA/QC and adherence to enterprise GIS standards and best practices
  • Establish and implement GIS governance frameworks, including roles, policies, and decision-making structures
  • Develop and maintain policies for data access, sharing, security, and metadata management
  • Support the alignment of GIS initiatives with organizational priorities and strategy

Required Skills & Required Experience
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in GIS with a focus on enterprise systems
  • Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store, and Enterprise Geodatabases)
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online and hybrid deployments
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Experience with security protocols and identity management (AD, SSO)
  • Experience with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge of web services (REST, APIs) and system integration
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and infrastructure design

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience supporting utilities, infrastructure, or government clients

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $101,000-$130,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
