Job description

Summary Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Sergeant to supervise armed security personnel supporting a federal security contract. This position is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, maintaining staffing coverage, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and supporting the protection of personnel, facilities, and government assets. * The ideal candidate is a proven leader with armed security, law enforcement, or military experience who demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities. This role offers the opportunity to lead frontline security personnel while ensuring operational excellence and mission success. Responsibilities * Provide direct supervision and leadership to assigned armed security personnel. * Administer instructions and operational guidance to officers assigned to the contract. * Ensure all security personnel are familiar with assigned facilities, post orders, duties, and responsibilities. * Monitor workforce performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements and security procedures. * Manage staffing assignments and maintain complete post coverage. * Coordinate staffing adjustments for absences, call-offs, vacations, training events, and operational requirements. * Communicate operational updates, policy changes, and security concerns to assigned personnel. * Support workforce accountability, operational readiness, and contract compliance initiatives. * Assist with incident response and operational problem resolution. * Maintain accurate records and documentation as required. * Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, when required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Possess and maintain Armed Security Guard certification through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). * Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an armed security guard, law enforcement officer, or related security professional. * Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience. * Possess an active Secret Clearance. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Possess and maintain current CPR certification through the American Red Cross or equivalent approved provider. * Must successfully meet Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer, including: * 1.5-mile run completed within 17 minutes and 30 seconds. * 19 push-ups completed within two minutes. * Must successfully complete and pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). * Ability to supervise personnel in a professional security environment. * Ability to maintain all required certifications, licenses, and qualifications. Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, or a related field. * Experience supervising personnel on a federal government security contract. * Military leadership, law enforcement supervisory, or security management experience. * Experience supporting Department of Defense or other federal agencies. * Additional certifications in First Aid, emergency response, or security operations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of security operations, access control procedures, and force protection principles. * Strong leadership, supervisory, and personnel management skills. * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities. * Ability to manage workforce scheduling and operational coverage requirements. * Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. * Ability to enforce policies, procedures, and performance standards. * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, and complete req uired documentation.
