WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

The Senior Director of Global Pricing serves as a pivotal leader responsible for the strategic design and operational execution of pricing across a global $3B segment. This role oversees a multi-business unit (BU) portfolio, orchestrating a global team and leveraging Centers of Excellence (CoE) across the world. The mandate is to drive sustainable margin expansion and top-line growth through sophisticated value-based pricing, robust governance, and the deployment of enterprise-level pricing technologies.

Global Leadership & Strategy

  • Organizational Excellence: Direct and develop a high-performing global pricing organization, ensuring seamless integration between BU strategies and the operational support provided by CoEs in India, Mexico and Poland.
  • Strategic Architecture: Define and implement a comprehensive pricing architecture, leading with value-based pricing models and ensuring optimal market positioning across diverse geographies.

Financial Performance & Margin Management

  • Profitability Engineering: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Finance to handle the "price-cost" relationship, ensuring margins are protected against inflationary pressures and optimized through lifecycle analysis.
  • Price Realization: Drive segment-wide initiatives to improve net price realization, using rigorous margin analysis to find opportunities in the pricing waterfall.

Operational Agility & Governance

  • Execution Velocity: Optimize "Speed to Quote" and pricing operations to enhance commercial agility. Lead the Deal Desk and Delegations of Authority (DOA) to ensure disciplined yet rapid decision-making.
  • Policy & Compliance: Establish and implement global discount policies. Ensure full compliance with SOX and internal audit controls, maintaining a rigorous governance framework across all global entities.

  • Advanced Analytics: Deploy a suite of leading and lagging KPIs, including pricing programs adoption, price-volume-mix (PVM) and elasticity modeling, to provide actionable insights that inform long-term strategic planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic advisor to BU and Product Leaders, aligning pricing strategies with customer satisfaction goals and profitable sales growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and interpret global macroeconomic trends and competitive maneuvers to proactively adjust segment-level pricing postures.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience leading a pricing function is highly preferred, along with a background in sales and/or finance.
  • Experience in value pricing, competitive analysis, financial analysis, and leakage elimination.
  • Experience leading a global team, both directly and indirectly through influence, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders globally.
  • Skilled in conceptual, analytical, and quantitative problem solving, with experience generating sophisticated financial models.
  • Experience with modern pricing platforms (e.g., Pricefx, CPQ solutions such as Tacton) integrated with global ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerPivot, and BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of pricing methodologies, discount programs, and customer segmentation.
  • Familiarity with data management, reporting tools, and analytics.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or experience with Jira is a plus.
