  • Heavy Metric driven team.
  • The coaching skill is very important. Has to be a pure scrum master, not a Project Manager.
  • They don’t need a heavy tech background. Pure coaching, agility, scrum role.
  • Mostly the person will be running agile ceremonies
  • Scrum master Certification must have- Safe scrum and lean certifications are big advantage
  • The organization is very mature, so where the coaching comes in- is making sure the expected outcomes in achieved and making sure the stakeholders are involved in the right steps.
  • The major challenge this person is going to face is running 3-4 teams at a time and hosting the ceremonies. They will be running all the ceremonies.

    Job responsibilities

    •Ensure the team always has enough priority work that is refined and ready to work on over the next 2-3 sprints (avoids team building un-defined/under-defined work, leading to rework)

    •Track and manage team-level dependencies for the current and upcoming sprints so the team can stay focused on delivery

    •Sustain team tools and standards by ensuring data hygiene, proper processes, and controls; prepare end-of-sprint demo materials for review with Product leaders; and measure and enable agility outcomes using CCB-defined metrics to drive continuous improvement.

    •Capture and drive team improvement actions each sprint to promote speed, efficiency, and collaboration by streamlining workflows and removing obstacles.

    •Enhance team collaboration and development by facilitating retrospectives, planning sessions, and creating plans for learning and delivery practice training.

    •Drive and enable key scrum cadences—including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective—tailored to team maturity, while also leading preparation, collaboration, and follow-up actions for Product-wide quarterly planning in partnership with the PAL to enhance team practices, efficiency, and alignment.

    •Guide and support teams through the product development lifecycle by applying agile principles and practices, providing training and mentorship, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment through group discussions and collaborative activities.

    •Ensure team delivery data is maintained at high quality in Jira and that core agility metrics (Backlog Health, Churn, Velocity, Say vs. Do) are continuously targeted and improved.

    o          Team Delivery Backlog: Ensure the team always has enough priority work that is refined and ready to work on over the next 2-3 sprints (avoids team building un-defined/under-defined work, leading to rework)

    o          Dependency Management Board: track and manage team-level dependencies for the current and upcoming sprints so the team can stay focused on delivery

    o          Additional artifacts: Include Quarterly Planning prep content, quarterly team objectives, Jira board, risk tracking/management, and more

    •           Enable Team Delivery

    o          Sustain tools and standards through team (date hygiene follow-up, ensure right processes are in place, controls support, etc.)

    o          Team Sprint Demo Materials: Prepare end of sprint demo materials for team to review with Product leaders

    o          Measure & Enable Agility Outcomes (metrics set by CCB)

    •Drive Team Productivity

    o          Driving Productivity within the Quad: Agility teams play a key role in driving continuous improvement activities, in partnership with the Quad with a focus on: Epic Cycle Time, Dependency Commitments, Change Success Rate, Backlog Health & Churn, Adoption of Windsurf (Codeium), Adoption of True CD & UAT Automation, Quad Location Strategy, AI Generated Stories

    o          Team Improvement Backlog: Capture and drive tangible team improvement actions to promote speed, efficiency, and collaboration every sprint (ex. Team A has consistent dependency delay from team B)

    o          Increase productivity and efficiency for the team by streamlining workflow, removing obstacles, and improving practices

    o          Enhance team collaboration and communication by facilitating retrospective activities, team planning, and reviews with leaders

    o          Develop plans for learning, uplift, and delivery practice training

    Key Cadences:

    •Scrum Cadences: Drive or enable key scrum cadences based on team maturity (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective). Enables collaboration, improved practices & efficiency

    •Quarterly Planning: Drive preparation for, team collaboration in, and action items after Product-wide quarterly planning in conjunction with the PAL

    Key Measures:

    •Team Agility Metrics: Responsible for ensuring team is continuously in target and improving core Agility metrics (Backlog Health, Churn, Velocity, Say vs. Do)

    •Team Jira Hygiene: Ensure team delivery data is kept at high quality in Jira

    •Productivity & Engagement: New CCB metrics launching this year to cover improvements to productivity, efficiency, and engagement
