Title: Agile Coach
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: Long Term
Required Skills:
  • Nine or more years of programming or testing background; experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software as well as working with relational databases to facilitate programming software
  • Experience working at least two (2) separate instances using multiple agile concepts and methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development, and/or Continuous Testing and Integration
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum of two separate engagements) as an Agile Coach in an agile software development environment
  • Experience helping teams transition to agile software development methodologies (leading role preferable) from a waterfall methodology

Preferred Skills:
  • Significant experience successfully facilitating agile ceremonies involving the customer and product owner
  • Experience assisting teams in setting up development environments that enable test-driven development, automated builds and automated acceptance testing
  • Experience with at least one medium to large Scaled Agile program (4 or more teams; 40+ development personnel) in a Coaching or Management Capacity
  • Experience with one or more of the following: JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Chef, Puppet
  • Familiarity with current Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, DSDM, LeSS)

Responsibilities:
  • The Agile Coach will help mid to large sized Agile program (2+ teams, 20-40+ staff) transition from traditional Waterfall to Agile.
  • The Agile Coach will participate in / facilitate Agile ceremonies, mentor agile teams that are new to agile practices, collaborate with Scrum Masters, Agency Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and executives to foster collaboration across the teams. This position requires Public Trust 85P approval prior to starting.
