Job description

Responsible for the administration and delivery of all training programs directly related to Operator Qualifications (OQ’s) for all areas of the gas industry. Administers all utility gas pipeline training and orientation needs for new and existing employees. Develops and conducts advanced training for operations staff. Monitors and advises management on individual and company status of Operator Qualifications. Trains employees to applicable utility OQ programs for compliance with appropriate utility requirements and standards.

Major Roles amp; Responsibilities

1. Identifies, develops, implements and conducts utility provided OQ curriculum related training and OSHA training for applicable employees.

2. Provides feedback to AGI management with suggested enhancements or modifications to the Operator Qualification Compliance Program, Written Plan, or Gas Training Materials.

3. Maintains a working knowledge of National Grid Operation and Maintenance Procedures, and Construction Standards.

4. Produces reports indicating the status of employee OQ qualifications.

5. Performs quality assurance audits of employee Gas OQ certifications. Communicates class training and testing results to AGI Construction management.

Education amp; Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of three years relevant experience preferred. Associate’s Degree with a minimum of five years relevant experience or High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and 10 years relevant experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Gas Operator Qualifications, and Gas Operations.
  • Knowledge of industrial, technical, program development and administration, engineering and/or construction principles and techniques, statistics, computer programming and work management.
  • OSHA30/500/510
  • Experience working in a formal management system.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Good interpersonal, verbal amp; written communication and presentation skills.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to act decisively in emergency situations and work effectively with all levels of the Company.
  • Microsoft Office -Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Etc.)
