Job Description

Calo & Sons Construction is hiring! We are looking for experienced gravel train drivers for a full-time position with year-round work. The driver will be responsible for submitting completed paperwork and haul gravel, sand, dirt, and other aggregates.


Responsibilities include:

  • Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck.
  • Hauling gravel, sand, dirt, and concrete.
  • Properly track and document activity log.
  • Inspect truck before and after trip.
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch.
  • Safe and skilled maneuverability and backing.
  • Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers and customers in a professional manor.

Qualifications

  • Driver's License (required)
  • CDL-A (required)
  • Doubles/Triples Endorsement (required)
  • Have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card (required)
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen (required)

His father started a trucking company back in 1957 and as a kid Tony spent much of his time riding around and watching his father work on construction jobs all over Detroit.
