Job description

We are seeking 2 Direct Care Staff to provide 1:1 support for an adult male consumer who resides in a family home setting. The individual uses a wheelchair and requires G-tube care and full assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).

This is a direct hire weekend position with consistent scheduled hours. Additional weekday shifts may be offered as we continue to grow in the Wesley Chapel area.


Schedule

Saturday & Sunday – 16-hour shifts per day

Shift Options:

  • Option 1: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM (single staff per day)
    OR
  • Option 2 (split shifts 2 staff):
    • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Duties

  • Provide 1:1 direct care and supervision
  • Support with all ADLs (bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals)
  • Wheelchair mobility and safe transfers
  • G-tube feeding and care (training may be provided based on experience)
  • Ensure client safety, dignity, and comfort at all times
  • documentation and communication with care team
  • Follow established care plans and support guidelines

Required Qualifications 

  • Must meet Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred/required per placement standards
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
  • Completion/eligibility for Level 2 background screening (FBI/DOJ/APD requirements)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Required trainings (HIV/AIDS, OSHA, HIPAA, Zero Tolerance via Train.org)
  • Experience with wheelchair care and/or G-tube feeding preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a 1:1 home setting

Preferred Skills

  • CNA, HHA, DSP, or direct care experience
  • Strong communication and reliability
  • Experience with medically complex individuals

Work Environment

  • Private home setting
  • 1:1 care ratio
  • Must be able to remain attentive throughout the full shift duration
