Bailey Information Technology (BIT) is seeking HSPD-12 / PIV Card Support Specialists to manage credential issuance for a federal agency's Office of Security in Washington, DC. You'll own the full PIV/PIV-I card lifecycle โ€” from identity proofing and enrollment through production, issuance, and eventual destruction โ€” using the agency's identity management system. This is a strong fit for someone with handsโ€‘on credentialing experience who thrives on process and accuracy.

What You'll Do
  • Review documentation to confirm eligibility for PIV/PIV-I credential issuance.
  • Perform identity proofing and applicant enrollment.
  • Produce federally compliant PIV/PIV-I cards using the agency's identity management system (IDMS).
  • Document all credentialing actions accurately in the IDMS and related systems.
  • Manage the full credential lifecycle, including reissuance, revocation, and destruction.
  • Identify and resolve incomplete or inaccurate credentialing submissions.
What You Bring
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain federal national security/suitability eligibility.
  • High school diploma or GED (minimum).
  • Demonstrated experience issuing HSPD-12 compliant PIV cards, including identity proofing/enrollment and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with an agencyโ€‘specific identity management system.
  • High degree of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with a federal agency identity management system.
  • FIPS 201 / PIV issuance training or certification.
