Job description

Business Development Representative

Commission-Only to Start | Remote | Path to Base Salary + Commission

Estimated First-Year OTE: $45,000–$90,000+ | Uncapped

Location: Austin, TX / Remote
Company: Indivieu, LLC

About Indivieu

Indivieu helps businesses grow by combining performance marketing, strategic consulting, revenue operations, and technology.

We are building beyond the traditional agency model, with an expanding vision that includes client services, internal technology, SalesVieu, and the broader IndivieuOS platform.

We are looking for a driven Business Development Representative who can create conversations, generate qualified opportunities, and book meetings with business owners and decision-makers.

This is an early-stage, ground-floor opportunity. You will not be stepping into a mature inbound pipeline or rigid corporate sales system. You will have the opportunity to help shape the messaging, targeting, and outbound processes that become the foundation of Indivieu’s revenue engine.

What You’ll Do

Your primary responsibility will be generating qualified discovery meetings for Indivieu’s service, consulting, and future software offerings.

You will:

  • Build targeted prospect lists across Indivieu’s priority industries and verticals
  • Conduct outbound outreach through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, and other channels
  • Start conversations with business owners and key decision-makers
  • Qualify prospects based on fit, need, authority, and potential opportunity
  • Schedule qualified discovery meetings for the founder or designated closer
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, follow-up, and opportunities in HubSpot
  • Follow up consistently with prospects who are not yet ready to meet
  • Help test and improve messaging, outreach sequences, ideal customer profiles, and targeting
  • Share market feedback to help Indivieu refine its offers and sales strategy
  • Identify potential opportunities across marketing, consulting, revenue systems, CRM, technology, and software
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions

This is primarily an outbound prospecting and meeting-generation role. You will not initially be expected to manage the entire sales process or close every opportunity yourself.

Performance Expectations and KPIs

This is a high-activity outbound role, but performance is not measured by empty volume. The primary goal is generating qualified meetings that actually take place and create legitimate sales opportunities.

After the initial ramp period, commission-only BDRs are expected to work toward:

  • 6–8 qualified meetings booked per week
  • 4–5 qualified meetings held per week
  • 16–20 qualified meetings held per month
  • A meeting show rate of at least 70%
  • A minimum active-performance threshold of 12 qualified meetings held per month
  • Consistent creation of sales-qualified opportunities
  • Complete and accurate CRM activity, notes, attribution, and follow-up
  • Consistent multi-channel outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels
Activity Benchmarks

Activity supports the outcomes above. General operating benchmarks include:

  • Approximately 60 outbound calls on active calling days
  • Consistent email, LinkedIn, and multi-channel follow-up
  • Progress toward 90 minutes of meaningful talk time as connect rates improve
  • Timely follow-up with interested or not-yet-ready prospects
  • 100% completion of required HubSpot activity and meeting records

These activity numbers are operating benchmarks, but qualified meetings held, meeting quality, pipeline created, and revenue influenced are the most important measures of success.

Ramp Expectations

Weeks 1–2

  • Learn Indivieu’s offers, target markets, systems, and messaging
  • Begin building prospect lists and conducting outreach
  • Target 2–4 qualified meetings booked per week
  • Target 1–3 qualified meetings held per week

Weeks 3–4

  • Increase outbound volume and demonstrate consistent follow-up
  • Target 4–6 qualified meetings booked per week
  • Target 3–4 qualified meetings held per week

Month 2 and Beyond

  • Target 6–8 qualified meetings booked per week
  • Target 4–5 qualified meetings held per week
  • Maintain a meeting show rate of at least 70%
  • Maintain at least 16–20 qualified meetings held per month

Strong performers may reach 8–12 meetings booked and 6–8 qualified meetings held per week.

Compensation

This role begins as a commission-only opportunity with uncapped earning potential and ongoing recurring commission opportunities.

Sourced Lead Commission: 8% of First Month’s MRR

If a client closes from a prospect list or lead you personally sourced, you will earn 8% of the first month’s collected monthly recurring revenue.

Booked Meeting Commission: 12% of First Month’s MRR

If you book a qualified meeting and the opportunity closes, you will earn 12% of the first month’s collected monthly recurring revenue.

Combined Opportunity: 20% of First Month’s MRR

If you both source the prospect and book the qualified meeting that closes, you will receive the full combined commission of 20% of the first month’s collected monthly recurring revenue.

Ongoing Recurring Commission: 8% of Monthly MRR

For each retained client you personally source and book, you will also earn 8% of collected monthly recurring revenue while the account remains active and you remain eligible under the written commission agreement.

Commissions are calculated on revenue collected by Indivieu. Advertising spend, taxes, refunds, pass-through expenses, and other non-commissionable amounts are excluded.

Complete eligibility, attribution, payment timing, client-retention requirements, and separation terms will be defined in the written commission agreement.

Estimated Earnings

Estimated First-Year OTE: $45,000–$90,000+

Earnings are uncapped. This estimate assumes approximately two self-sourced and booked clients close per month at an average contract value of $2,500–$5,000 in monthly recurring revenue, with continued client retention.

Actual earnings will depend on individual performance, contract value, close rates, collected revenue, and client retention.

Example Earnings

If you source and book a client who closes at $2,500 per month, you earn $500 upfront plus $200 per month in recurring commission.

If Indivieu provides the lead and you book the meeting for a client who closes at $2,500 per month, you earn $300 upfront.

If you source and book a client who closes at $5,000 per month, you earn $1,000 upfront plus $400 per month in recurring commission.

If you source and book a client who closes at $10,000 per month, you earn $2,000 upfront plus $800 per month in recurring commission.

Build a portfolio of retained clients, and your recurring monthly commissions can continue stacking over time.

Earnings examples are illustrative and are not guaranteed.

Growth Path

This position is designed to create a path into Indivieu’s long-term revenue organization.

As Indivieu reaches defined recurring-revenue milestones, successful team members may be considered for:

  • A base salary plus commission structure
  • Additional responsibilities across business development or sales
  • Account executive or revenue leadership opportunities
  • Benefits as the company’s employee infrastructure expands
  • Potential equity consideration for exceptional long-term contributors

A future salary, benefits, promotion, or equity grant is not guaranteed. These opportunities will depend on company performance, individual results, role availability, and mutually agreed-upon terms.

The right person has the opportunity to get in early, benefit from uncapped upside now, and grow into a more stable long-term role as the company matures.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable creating opportunities from scratch. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in outbound sales and does not need constant oversight to remain productive.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have at least one year of business development, sales development, appointment-setting, or outbound sales experience
  • Are confident making cold calls and initiating conversations with strangers
  • Can handle rejection without losing consistency
  • Communicate professionally with business owners and decision-makers
  • Are organized and capable of managing your own outreach and follow-up
  • Are comfortable working in HubSpot or another CRM
  • Can work independently without constant supervision
  • Want to help build something at an early stage
  • Understand the tradeoffs of starting with commission-only compensation
  • Are motivated by performance, ownership, recurring income, and long-term upside

Experience selling agency services, SaaS, consulting, CRM, marketing, technology, or other B2B services is helpful, but hunger, consistency, and execution matter most.

Benefits

Why Join Indivieu?

Indivieu is building beyond traditional agency services. Alongside our digital marketing and consulting work, we are developing internal and client-facing technology products, including SalesVieu and the broader IndivieuOS vision.

The right person is not stepping into a dead-end BDR role. You will be joining at an early stage with the opportunity to grow into a larger revenue role as Indivieu expands across both services and software.

What you’ll get:

  • Fully remote work
  • Flexible schedule focused on results
  • Uncapped commission potential
  • Ability to build recurring monthly commission income
  • Direct access to the founder and company leadership
  • Opportunity to influence Indivieu’s outbound strategy and sales process
  • Potential path to a base salary, benefits, and a larger revenue role
  • Exposure to both service-based and software-related growth opportunities
  • Potential future equity consideration for exceptional long-term contributors
  • Ground-floor opportunity with a company building toward a much larger vision

If you are comfortable creating opportunities from scratch and want your results to directly influence both your income and your future role, we would like to hear from you.
