Job description

HIRING FOREMAN

$44.00 - $46.00 per hour depending on experience

REQUIREMENTS

MUST be a part of local union 1184

CA driverโ€™s license

Clean driving/DMV record

Prior knowledge of landscape/construction equipment preferred

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with, oversee, manage, train, and coordinate the daily work/tasks of employees

Understand all aspects of landscape trade items (irrigation, grading, planting, drainage, etc.)

Read and comprehend plans and specifications (dimensions, elevations, square footages, etc.)

Determine and calculate required materials based upon site logistics, (areas, depths, etc.)

Skilled in all standard pieces of equipment (mini excavator, bobcat, backhoe, roto-tiller, etc.)

Conduct weekly Safety Meetings (Tailgate Meetings) for all crew members

Maintain records of safety meetings held

Communicate best landscape industry trade skills to crew

Ensure the active use of required safety gear, enforce OSHA regulations, and promote a hazard-free work environment

Maintain daily logs of progress, attendance, and equipment maintenance
