As a Technical Specialist (Measurement), you will analyze our measurement facilities for deficiencies and suggest remedies, complete measurement projects of various scope and complexity using your skills, expertise and judgment, and work with others to keep our division measurement facilities working safely and reliably. You will be responsible for interpreting technological aspects of business and coordinating with leadership to assure operational success by review and audit of measurement systems, internal and external laboratories, and blending facilities; the ability to collaborate and plan projects are keys to success in this role.

You will be regarded as the authority in liquids and gas measurement equipment and provide training, mentoring and guidance for enterprise training program content. You may participate in the development and implementation of technical standards and specifications (Liquid/Gas Measurement Systems Engineering Standards) for the equipment.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

Ability to build relationships and trust across your network

Reads, understands and evaluates engineering design documents, contracts and agreements

Provides measurement expertise to project execution teams during project planning, especially for specialized applications, non-standard designs, or system-level projects, including equipment specifications, design reviews, MOCs, PHAs, and commissioning support

Conducts fabricator, packager, and manufacturer audits and reviews

Provides support for specialized or sophisticated troubleshooting (Meter proving repeatability and reproducibility issues, Densitometer proving repeatability and reproducibility issues, Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) configuration and programming errors, Sampler and resulting composition errors, Analyzer and product quality errors, mechanical or instrumentation issues with provers, flow transmitter configuration errors, data communications etc.)

Commissions new interconnects from start to finish, provide training on all equipment installed with assigned measurement Operations technician. Ensure all

equipment is tested and placed into service. P2P checks with & SCADA and Pipeline Control

Efficiently and effectively resolves issues related to measurement equipment malfunctions, volumetric imbalances, quality control and measurement analysis.

Performs internal inspection of meter tubes using electronic fiber scope, mechanical micrometers, and calipers

Other duties as assigned

Other Requirements:

Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, Allen Bradley and SCADA solutions

Understanding of Multipath & Single Path Ultrasonic Meters, Gas Chromatography, & Sample systems.

Experience in the operations of natural gas measurement metering, regulation and gas quality equipment

Familiar with Distributed Control System (DCS) programming (Yokogawa)

Preferred: Proficiency with AGA Standards AGA 3 AGA 7, AGA 8, AGA 9 and API 21.1

Preferred: Ability to solve pneumatic control system issues

Preferred: Understanding of AC & DC Electronics.

Education/Years of Experience:

Required: Associates degree or equivalent experience and minimum of six (6) years' experience in oil & gas industry

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field and minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in field operations/construction or other technical specialty field

Preferred: Extensive experience working with one or more flow computers including but not limited to AutoPilot Pro, FloBoss107, ROC809, ROC827, FB2200, Flow-X, OMNI 6000E

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:

Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces

Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs

Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time

Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

Use hand tools

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

Willing to travel 50% to 75% within state

Available to work after hours as needed

May be required to work over

Other Requirements:

Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
