We are currently looking for a Precision Ag Data Specialist to join us in any of our 35 stores.


PURPOSE:

Provides agronomic solutions and support for the sale and use of John Deere Precision Ag Technology, Precision Upgrades Equipment, and John Deere Operations Center. Works in close collaboration with entire Precision Ag department to assist customers in optimizing precision ag technology on their farm through analytics and machine optimization deriving from data driven decisions.


BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBITIES:

  • Participates in product presentations at customer clinics, pre-Expo Meetings, John Deere Days and meetings held outside the dealership.
  • Provides technical support where applicable while successfully tracking billable time.
  • Develops and delivers employee training for Operations Center, Equipment Mobile and any other applicable software or data tools.
  • Manages the adoption of new technology and product offerings.
  • Provides support for advanced customer training for hardware and software products such as Operations Center, Operations Center Mobile and Equipment Mobile offered through John Deere.
  • Manages and maintains precision data services and offerings provided by the department.
  • Promotes customer owned Operations Center organization utilization and optimization.
  • Serves as the internal and external dealership technical specialist relative to the entire Precision Ag product line.
  • Develop strategic initiatives and action items using John Deere reporting metrics to drive Engaged Acre and Highly Engaged Acre growth and overall utilization of John Deere Operations Center as a farm management tool.
  • Create, implement, and execute LEAD agronomic trials to create local data outcomes to drive Precision Upgrades and new technology sales and utilization.
  • Promote and support Harvest Profit utilization with customers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience in an agricultural-related role with activities such as sales, service, training, or other related work. Prior experience with JD technology and support is preferred or similar customer support role.
  • Extremely organized, sensitive to deadlines and goals within dealership.
  • Must be driven to achieve results, highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid communication skills. Can deal with and effectively resolve challenging customer issues.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving abilities.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Noise Levels: Medium to High.
  • Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Mobility: Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, sitting and repetitive keyboarding for
  • long durations of time.
  • Visual: Working with PC, online content, manuals and close detailed work
  • Driving: Very Frequently – Short and long distances. Ability to control machinery as outlined in operator manuals.
  • Work Environment: Exposure to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts
  • Dexterity and Coordination: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools and office equipment. Hand-eye coordination for controls.
