Hours:
  • 3 PM - 5 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (or a combination of hours within this range/flexible)

Position Summary:
The After School Tutor will provide academic support to students in a small group or one-on-one setting after school hours. The tutor will work with K-6th grade students to reinforce classroom learning, help with homework, and offer additional instruction in subject areas where students may need improvement.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide homework / tutoring to K-6th graders in one or more subjects (e.g., math, reading, science, writing) based on students' needs.
  • Assist students with homework, projects, and test preparation.
  • Maintain a safe and productive after-school learning environment..
  • Ensure that students are actively engaged and participate in learning activities.
  • Assist in organizing and leading enrichment activities or educational games when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively tutor, mentor, or teach K-8th grade students.
  • Prior experience tutoring, mentoring or teaching strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus some college coursework required; degree in education, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting student success.
  • Able to start immediately.
