Afterschool Program Teacher
Position Summary

White Rock North School is seeking an energetic, dependable, and caring Afterschool Program Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students after the school day. The ideal candidate enjoys building positive relationships with children, supervising activities, supporting homework completion, and creating meaningful experiences that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
Primary Responsibilities
  • ย Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.ย 
  • ย Welcome students into the afterschool program and maintain accurate attendance records.ย 
  • ย Lead age-appropriate enrichment activities including arts and crafts, STEM challenges, outdoor play, games, and team-building activities.ย 
  • ย Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed.ย 
  • ย Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.ย 
  • ย Implement positive behavior guidance strategies that align with school expectations.ย 
  • ย Maintain active supervision during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, snack time, and dismissal.ย 
  • ย Communicate professionally with parents regarding student behavior, achievements, and daily updates when appropriate.ย 
  • ย Prepare and organize classroom materials, activity supplies, and learning spaces.ย

Qualifications
