About This Role

A Montessori preschool and After School program in Allen is seeking an After School teacher for grades K-5, part-time schedule (2:30pm - 6:00pm), starting end of March.


What You'll Do

Assist, if needed, with students' homework and worksheets.

Plan daily activities for class.

Demonstrate ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment

Supervise the children at all times; observe and monitor indoors and outdoors, ensuring each child’s health and safety

Provide positive guidance to help children develop the ability to be self-disciplined

Model and use social and emotional learning lessons to reinforce appropriate social skills

Report all cases of abuse or suspected abuse as required by law

Follow all rules, regulations, and policies Discovery Montessori Academy.

Complete all assigned training Perform other functions that may be assigned by administration and/or supervisor


Requirements

This position requires love, patience, and respect for children. The teacher will encourage the children to be independent and models appropriate manners and behaviors.

Previous experience with preschool children in a school setting. Proficient and fluent in English. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Work well with children, parents, and other staff members


Will need to pass a background check and fingerprinting and CPR/First Aid certification.
